In the west San Fernando Valley, the Woodland Hills Country Club is a private golf club that opened in 1925. It’s the second oldest in Los Angeles. The club has a rich history and a lively social calendar.

This course was designed in the “Golden Age of Golf Course Architecture” and features sweeping valley views. Several large trees line the fairways, making the club a challenging test of golf.
The club recently underwent a major renovation, adding modern conveniences, like colored pin lighting and floating drapes. Also, a new fitness center was built, with new equipment.
The course is a par-70. From the back tees, the front nine is 6,384 yards. Despite the long length, the course played relatively short, if you caught the right slopes.
The course has a few nice water features. But, the 6th hole is a bit over 200 yards from the blues and the par-3 seventh hole is a long and difficult uphill par-3.
The course also boasts three fire-it’s. For the most part, the grass was in good condition. However, there were a few tight/firm areas. There were even a couple of sandy turf-reduced areas.
The best part of the course was the view. The club’s vantage point offers some of the most spectacular views of the San Fernando Valley.
Aside from the golf course, the Woodland Hills Country Club has a well-stocked shop. They host numerous tournaments throughout the year. Some of the past winners include Bob Waterfield, Sandy Koufax, and Broderick Crawford.
